Last Friday night the winter racing in Southern Arizona got off to a start, despite the huge drop in temperature that is presently occurring throughout the country. Tucson International Raceway kicked of the 2013 season by promoting a huge late model week and a half of racing, The Winter Extreme.
On night #1, the racing started out smokin’ hot, even though the temperature in Tucson was plummeting to below freezing during the night! Tim Fuller, driving his #19 Kennedy Motorsports late model, fresh off his win at Casa Grande’s Central Arizona Raceway, also led the pack of 24 racers in the late model feature to the checkered flag.
