“Session one in the books here at Barber Motorsports Park. The Andretti Steinbrenner No. 29 PowerTap Honda seems pretty good. I think we’ve got the pace. I’m looking forward to reviewing tonight what we could do better. In the free practice sessions with 27 cars, it’s quite difficult to get a clear lap but I think we’ll be up to speed for the rest of the weekend.”
Andretti Autosport completed Practice One at Barber Motorsports Park under sunny skies. Colton Herta was fastest overall with teammates Alexander Rossi and Romain Grosjean following in third and fourth, respectively. Rookie Devlin DeFrancesco topped the charts near the start of the session before finishing 14th overall. Drivers will aim to keep pace with one more practice session before they put their heads down to qualify Saturday at noon CT, 1 p.m. ET.
