Well the fun has begun here at Auto Club Speedway!
It looks like Cole Custer will be starting up front and on the front row for this afternoon’s Production Alliance 300 from ACS. That’s right Cole Custer is racing this afternoon in the NXS race for SS Greenlight Racing. This year SS Greenlight Racing has an alliance with Stewart Haas Racing to help their program up to the next level of Xfinity racing.
Custer held the provisional pole for most of the entire qualifying session until “The Dinger” knocked him off of the premiere pedestal. With just a few cars left in line for qualifying AJ Allmendinger rocketed off of pit row and into the pole position.
In spite of the wool and windy weather onboard at ACS late in the qualifying session “The Dinger” fired up his hot rod, dumped the clutch, rifled through the gears and “let the big dog eat” out on the racing facility with an average qualifying speed of 179.829 mph on this soon to be deconstructed, reconstituted, and reconfigured 2 mile race track in Fontana, CA.
With that effort The Dinger leap frogged Custer to the top of the pylon be the pole sitter for the race later this afternoon.
Check out the starting order for the Production Alliance 300 at ACS.
TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
