Michael Annett has earned a top-five and two top-10 finishes in 13 NXS starts at Daytona, topped by a third-place run in July 2012.
• Annett’s best finishes at Daytona, a third in 2012 and a sixth in 2011, have both come in the summer race on the 2.5-mile oval.
• Annett ranks sixth in Green-Flag Passes at Daytona, according to NASCAR’s Loop Data Statistics, notching 1,978 in his 13 starts there.
• Pilot Flying J announced last week that it would return to JRM with Annett on a multi-year deal.
“Daytona is a track where I’ve traditionally run pretty well, but haven’t gotten the finishes we’ve needed. This weekend, we have to be spot-on from the opening practice and carry that through the race. My Pilot Flying J team is doing all the right things, from crew chief Jason Stockert and car chief Jonathan Davis to all the engineers and mechanics. We need a break to go our way, and Daytona is a place where that can happen.”
TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
