The organization earned a team best finish of second-place at the Sparta, Ky.,-facility with John Hunter Nemechek on July 7, 2016. Three starts at the Kentucky Speedway have earned NEMCO Motorsports an average starting position of 15.7 and an average finish of 9.0, and one lap led.
NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History … Since entering the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 1995, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 107 starts from five drivers, resulting in strong performances that include six victories (Watkins Glen, Chicago, Atlanta, Canada, Gateway, and Iowa) and 24 top-five finishes, as well as 51 top-10 finishes with an average starting position of 14.0 and an average finishing position of 12.9.
Collective NEMCO Motorsports … In the season’s first nine events, NEMCO Motorsports’ two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series entries have posted two victories (Gateway and Iowa), five top-five and five top-10 finishes. The NEMCO Motorsports-prepared Chevrolet Silverados have completed 1,775 total laps – leading 52 laps. John Hunter Nemechek and Joe Nemechek rank 8th and 22nd respectively in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver points.
All in the Family … Team owner Joe Nemechek has one start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at the Kentucky Speedway (2014) finishing in the 14th-position. Nemechek has four Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) starts, and seven NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) starts at the 1.5-mile track. Nemechek has led for a total of two laps in the NASCAR XFINITY Series at the Kentucky Speedway.

This Week’s NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado at the Kentucky Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 040 in the Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 at the Kentucky Speedway. The Gere Kennon-led team last unloaded this NEMCO Motorsports prepared chassis at the Kansas Speedway on May 12 where Nemechek finished in the third-position after starting in the 14th-position in the chassis’ first appearance of the 2017 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. Since 2015, Chassis No. 040 has an average finishing position of 9.6 in nine collective starts, with one previous start at the Kentucky Speedway (2015) finishing in the 11th-place with Nemechek.

Nemechek in the Bluegrass State … This weekend marks John Hunter Nemechek’s third Kentucky Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The Mooresville, N.C., driver has earned an average starting position of 14.5 and an average finishing position of 6.5 at the Sparta, Ky., facility. Nemechek has led for a total of one lap at the track. Nemechek made his intermediate track debut just 29 days after his 18th birthday in 2015.
Speedway Stats: In 33 combined NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), John Hunter Nemechek has recorded three victories (Chicago, Atlanta and Gateway), 11 top-five and 17 top-10 finishes. He has led for a total of 135 laps on NASCAR’s speedway tracks.
In the Loop at the Kentucky Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek has the highest driver rating (105.7) at the Kentucky Speedway of active full-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers. In addition, Nemechek is second in average running position (6.680) and second in fastest on restarts at the 1.5-mile track, only behind in each category to full-time Monster Energy Cup Series drivers.
Race Rewind: Kentucky Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek and the No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado team for NEMCO Motorsports scored a second-place finish in the Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the Kentucky Speedway, Sparta, Ky., on July 7, 2016. After qualifying for the 150-lap race around the 1.5-mile tri-oval in 16th position, Nemechek quickly moved into the top-ten position before the caution flag waved for the first time on Lap 27. Nemechek continued the steady progression and was scored in the fifth-place by Lap 60. The 19-year old made the most of the final restart that took place on Lap 109, driving from seventh to second in the last 41 laps of the event.
In the Rearview Mirror: Iowa Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek, driver of the No. 8 Fire Alarm Services, Inc., Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, scored his second consecutive victory of the season in the M&M’s 200 presented by Casey’s General Stores NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on June 23 at the Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa. Nemechek started from the fifth position, finishing Stage 1 in the seventh-place. At the Stage 2 conclusion, Lap 120, Nemechek finished in the third position, gaining valuable playoff points. Nemechek maneuvered himself past the reigning NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion with six laps remaining following a late-race caution to win his second race this season. The win was Nemechek’s fifth career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory and his first at the Iowa Speedway. This marks the second-consecutive season that Nemechek has had at least two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series wins.
Chase for the Championship … With his win at the Gateway Motorsports Park on June 17, John Hunter Nemechek claimed NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Chase eligibility with a victory during the regular season. Nemechek is second in the Chase standings, with two wins and 11 playoff points. Nemechek is tied for the most NASCAR Camping World Truck Series wins this season alongside Kyle Busch Motorsports driver Christopher Bell with two wins each.
Season-to-date … Through the first nine NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the 2017 season, John Hunter Nemechek has completed 1292 of 1508 laps contested (85.7 percent), has led 52 laps and is currently 8th in the driver point standings, and 9th in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series owner points. In addition, the NEMCO Motorsports driver has collected two victories (Gateway and Iowa), four top-five and four top-10 finishes, has spent 1,002 laps running in the top 15 and has made 302 green-flag passes thus far this season.
