Marcos Ambrose launched a self described “bomb” move going into the Bus Stop turns at The Glen  to pass Ol Kylie Busch (THE LAS VEGAS WEASEL) to take the victory in the Nationwide Series race today.  It was a very clean surprising aggressive “dive bomb” maneuver that caught Busch completely off guard!  In fact it was so surprising that TLVW couldn’t even make it through the bus stop turns, he ended up going straight through.  Because of the failure to complete those series of turns and avoid a penalty, he had to come to a complete stop, then proceed on with the race!

Marcos Ambrose, driver of the #47 STP Toyota, shared his thoughts on the race and pass.  “Just a perfect day when you’re racing against Kyle, and when you pass him for the win you’re doing something special.”

However, Busch saw it differently, as witnessed by his agitated demeanor in the post-race interview!  “I think that it (Ambrose’s pass) was a little aggressive getting into the Bus Stop, but you’ve got to do what you’ve go to do to win.”  The driver of the #18 NOS Energy Drink Toyota continued, I felt that it was a really, really late move and if I would have went through there with him I would have wrecked.  So I had to do what I had do to preserve my car and not wreck.”

Busch continued with his whining, “I don’t think that it was a fair move.  It won him the race and he had to do something.  I wouldn’t have been able to do it.  I would have wadded my stuff up.  Yay for him.”

Ambrose’s version of the winning move is vastly differing from ol Kylie’s.  The Tasmanian driver stated, “I didn’t have the top end speed to make the classic pass him.  I knew I would have to bomb him somewhere.  He wasn’t going to make a mistake on his own: I’d have to force one on him.”  Furthermore, Ambrose said the pass was spot on clean.  “I never touched him”, said Ambrose who led twice for a race high 26 laps.

So the pouting Busch has yet another second place finish in the Nationwide Series race!  His complaining of Ambrose’s “bonzai” pass goes on deaf ears!!

TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
