“It’s always amazing to come back here. There’s always a good crowd, there’s a lot of people here for a Friday. The car was relatively good. I was happy with it. It’s the same story for everybody but traffic seems to be a problem when trying to get clean laps. Luckily, my red (Firestone tire) run was clean. I think we’re at a good starting point.”
Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course welcomed fans with Practice One of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. Lexington, Ohio, was hot and humid, with ambient temperatures nearing 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat kept Colton Herta, Alexander Rossi and Romain Grosjean in pit lane for the first 25-minutes of practice. Devlin DeFrancesco was the only Andretti Autosport driver to run the entirety of the 75-minute practice.
