Tanner Gray Had Zero Luck At Talladega

Saturday, October 2

Track: Talladega Superspeedway, 2.66-mile oval

Race: 20 of 22

Event: Chevrolet Silverado 250 (94 laps, 250 miles)

Tanner Gray, No. 15 Ford Performance F-150

Start: 22nd

Finish: 34th

Gray started 22nd at the 2.66-mile Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway. In Stage 1, Gray reported his Ford Performance F-150 was pretty free and moving around a lot. He completed the stage 16th and visited pit road for fuel, four tires and adjustments to tighten up his F-150.

Throughout Stage 2, Gray jockeyed for position in the top-10. Even with a loose F-150, the Ford driver closed out the stage with a seventh-place finish. During the stage break, Gray brought his truck to the attention of his crew for two right-side tires, fuel and an adjustment to tighten the Ford Performance F-150.

Gray started the final stage from the fourth position. He once again continued to battle in the top-10. Unfortunately, on lap 58 contact between competitors in front of Gray caused a melee which sent Gray into the wall. The damage ended the young driver’s day and resulted in a 34th-place finish.

TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
