No. 19 Yee Yee Toyota Supra News and Notes:
IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Well, it is crunch time for Brandon Jones and the 19 Yee Yee team as they head to Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend for the intense Friday night race under the lights. This is a huge weekend for the Xfinity Series, Jones, and the No. 19 Yee Yee team who have survived a bruising up-and-down season and emerged stronger and more determined than ever. It’s the cutoff race to determine the 12 teams who will advance to the first round of the Xfinity Series playoffs. No doubt, a fierce, grueling 300-mile battle will explode on the track that is affectionally called “The Last Great Colosseum” and Jones plans to be in the thick of it.
JONES AT BRISTOL: Jones enjoys the challenge of high-banked, tight racing at Bristol Motor Speedway having led 136 laps there and finishing third and eighth in 2020. In a year showcasing fast cars, eight top five finishes and multiple incidents while running in the front of the field, Jones and the 19 team roll in with a lot of confidence and are focused on the prize. This will be Jones’ 12th Xfinity Series career-start on the 0.533-mile concrete oval. This No. 19 Yee Yee Apparel team is motivated and focused on making a strong run on the “World’s Fastest Half-Mile”. Bristol is the perfect track to make it happen and give Yee Yee Nation their first win at Thunder Valley.
YEE YEE APPAREL: This will be Yee Yee Apparel’s second race with Jones and the No. 19 Yee Yee team. Yee Yee Apparel is based in Georgetown, TX, just outside Austin. The debut of the Yee Yee Toyota was at COTA, their hometown track. Jones believes that bringing an exciting new brand like Yee Yee and country artist Granger Smith to NASCAR helps to further invigorate the sport and broaden the NASCAR reach into diverse demographics. Yee Yee Apparel will be available in the Bristol Motor Speedway FanZone.
JONES AND GRANGER SMITH: Jones and Smith will be engaging with the fans through social media (Twitter/Facebook/Instagram} this weekend using a cross-promotion with both of them that will reward 80 contest winners with official NASCAR-licensed Yee Yee-Brandon Jones merchandise.
JGR AT BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY: JGR has 105 total starts at Bristol Motor Speedway in the NXS, earning 13 wins, 35 top-five finishes, 52 top-10 finishes and 11 pole-starting positions. The team has led 3,262 laps and earned an average start of 11.0 and an average finish of 14.2.
RACE INFO: Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway (.533-mile) begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday, September 17, 2021. The race will be broadcast live on NBCSN, SiriusXM Channel 90 and PRN Radio.
From the Cockpit:
Brandon Jones: “We are excited to be heading to Bristol Motor Speedway to race under the lights this Friday night. This is the cutoff race to lock in for the first round of the Xfinity Series Playoffs. Bristol is one of my favorite tracks and we have been so close so many times here. We also have a pretty cool weekend planned with our partner and friend Granger Smith and Yee Yee Apparel. We will also be introducing my official NASCAR-licensed Yee Yee-Brandon Jones merchandise. Bottom line, there’s going to be a lot of beating and banging on the high-banked short track so we need to run up front like we know we can and put our Yee Yee Supra in position to win and set the tone for a solid championship run.”
About YEE YEE:
For five years, the Smith brothers (Granger, Tyler and Parker) have meticulously built a sustainable lifestyle brand that caters to the Heartland. Stemming from the notorious catchphrase, “YEE YEE,” from singer/songwriter Granger Smith’s country boy alter-ego, Earl Dibbles Jr., the brand has become a symbol for all those who cherish hard work, American values, God, Country, family, and our flag. Through the close-knit relationship Granger has built with his fanbase and by listening carefully to them, the brothers have exponentially grown Yee Yee Apparel.
This is more than a family business. It is an authentic reflection of a collective passion these siblings share. Their mission, “to share our passion for the outdoors and living life to the fullest and to give back to organizations around the globe who are doing their best to make the world a better place.” Their hearts for philanthropy have resulted in over $255,000 in donations to charities they feel passionate about.
