Road America: The NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) heads to Road America for the first time this weekend. Christopher Bell will make his first NCS start at Road America, but he does have three NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) starts under his belt, including a win in 2019.
NCS Road Course Winner: Bell took home the checkered flag in the first road course race of the season at Daytona.
Road Course History: Bell’s Daytona Road Course victory may have surprised a few people, but he has had some past success in the Xfinity Series making left and right turns. In 2019 he competed in four NXS road course events. Bell earned his first road course victory at Road America and finished second at both Watkins Glen and Mid-Ohio. He was on track for a top-five finish at the ROVAL until a penalty late in the race.
Getting Sirius: SiriusXM will be featured as the primary sponsor of Bell’s No. 20 Camry for Sunday’s race at Road America. Road America is the third of four races SiriusXM will be on the No. 20 for Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR), the first was Atlanta Motor Speedway (March 21), the second was Richmond Raceway (April 18) and the final race will be Bristol Motor Speedway (September 18). Bell visited victory lane twice in 2017 in the Truck Series with SiriusXM across the hood of his truck at Pocono and Loudon.

Pocono Doubleheader Recap: Bell struggled with handling in his No. 20 Toyota Camry on Saturday in the first race of the doubleheader weekend at Pocono. The team made multiple adjustments and were able to finish 17th. Bell lined up fourth for Sunday after an invert of the top 20 finishers from Saturday and had a car that led laps and was capable of competing for the win. Contact on a restart caused some damage and then with a push from behind Bell got sideways and into the wall. With right rear damage he had to pit under green for tires and repairs. At the checkered flag Bell crossed the finish line 32nd.
RACE INFO: The Jockey Made in America 250 Presented by Kwik Trip at Road America begins at 2:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 4, 2021. The race will be broadcast live on NBC, SiriusXM 90, and MRN Radio.
