Brandon Jones

No. 19 Menards/Pelonis Toyota Supra News and Notes:

JONES AT POCONO: Brandon Jones and the No. 19 Menards/Pelonis team head to the Tricky Triangle buried in the Pocono Mountains this weekend. This will be Jones’ sixth start there and he will be back in the No. 19 Menards Toyota Supra with Pelonis prominently displayed on the hood. They are ready to bounce back from last year’s early exit and aggressively tackle the unique 2.5-mile track with confidence. Jones won his first career Camping World Truck Series race there last season for Kyle Busch Motorsports. The No. 19 Menards team goes there having very fast Supras and a strategy to be up front and be there at the end fighting for the top spot.

JGR AT POCONO: JGR has earned one win in 15 Xfinity Series starts at Pocono Raceway and has earned five top-five and seven top-10 finishes. The championship-winning organization has an average finish of 16.6.

RACE INFO: Pocono Green 225 at Pocono Raceway (2.5-mile) begins at 12:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 27, 2021. The race will be broadcast live on NBCSN, Sirius XM Channel 90 and MRN Radio

From the Cockpit:

Brandon Jones: “This weekend we are headed to the Pocono Mountains to tackle the Tricky Triangle. I was able to capture my first career truck win last year at Pocono but then had a disappointing Xfinity finish after getting wiped out early in the race. It’s a very unique track and presents several challenges, especially with the restarts it can get a bit crazy. Pocono Raceway has three very distinct corners, but I believe the tunnel turn is the trickiest. You carry the most speed through the corner and feel like you are always on the edge there. I have spent multiple days in the TRD simulator to prepare. I have been looking forward to going back and getting the Xfinity Series finish we are capable of. We have had strong Toyota Supras each week and I am confident we can put our No. 19 Menards/Pelonis Supra in a position to fight for the win.”

TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
