“We had a lot better result today, but the same disappointment. I thought we had a car to win, but I just didn’t get it done unfortunately. Everything else with the strategy and the pit stops was perfect. A big thank you to Gainbridge and happy to be powered by Honda. They gave us a lot of support and fast cars this weekend. We’ll get them next week at Road America.

The Detroit Chevrolet Grand Prix came to a close today with the second race of the doubleheader weekend. Another round of qualifying set the tone for the day and Colton Herta led the Andretti Autosport team with a second-place qualifying position, missing out on the pole by three tenths of a second.

With the doubleheader on the streets of Belle Isle complete, the Andretti Autosport stable shifts their focus to Road America – the longest track on the NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule.

Preparation for the 55-lap event begins with practice on Friday, June 18 and the REV Group Grand Prix will go green on Sunday, June 20 at 12 p.m. on NBC Sports Network.

TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
