From the Cockpit:
Brandon Jones: “Last year the NASCAR XFINITY Series had to skip the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course because of the pandemic. This year we will have a busier weekend since I will also be racing in the ARCA Menards Series. Mid-Ohio is one of the most technical road courses that we go to, and I have had my share of struggles there. The last time we ran at Mid-Ohio I was able to clinch a solid top-10 finish. Mid-Ohio has a lot of elevation changes and several slow sections that require a lot of finesse. I started preparing for this event a few weeks ago, logging laps on the Toyota simulator to get used to my braking points. I’ve also spent a lot of time out at the go kart track on my days off, racing my shifter cart and making laps there. We’ll be in our Menards Supra this weekend with Swiffer on our hood. Mid-Ohio is always a big race in a big market for them, so we are focused on having a strong showing for them this weekend.”
TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
