No. 98 GLEANERS FOOD BANK OF INDIANA / CURB HONDA
Andretti Herta-Haupert Autosport w/ Marco Andretti and Curb-Agajanian
PRACTICE RESULT-20th
PRACTICE SPEED-223.336 mph
“Not a bad day one for the Gleaners Food Bank Honda. We were working through a lot of things. My focus is really on getting that comfortable race car so we’re burying it in traffic as much as possible and not focused on being the quickest every time on track. Definitely not as happy with the overall speed as I was last year with the car, so the first goal will be to put it solidly in the race and from there I really want to get a solid race car and good strategy. I think once we get to the front we have a car good enough to stay there.”
Opening Day for the 105th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Presented by Gainbridge is officially complete. The morning kicked off with a two-hour practice session for veterans followed by rookie orientation and a refresher session before all cars returned to the track for the final session of the day.
Ryan Hunter-Reay finished the day with the second-fastest lap and was the top Honda finisher. Teammate Stefan Wilson stepped back into the No. 25 machine for the first time since 2018 to turn his first laps of the month while successfully completing his refresher program by the day’s end.
Andretti Autosport’s six-car stable is back on track every day this week from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET for practice before qualifying weekend begins. Practice will be broadcast live every day exclusively on Peacock, NBC Universal’s newest streaming platform.
TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
