“Somewhat happy with how the day went. I think we had a better day in there, unfortunately, we finished eighth. We were so close to the (Firestone) Fast 6, but that’s how it is in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, it’s always close. Overall, a happy day. We definitely can win from eighth. I’m really excited after the announcement of my signing of two more years with Gainbridge and Andretti Autosport, so that’s really cool. For now, we’re focused on the race tomorrow.”

The iconic ‘Month of May’ is in full swing in Indianapolis with qualifying for the GMR Grand Prix on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course in the books. Action for the weekend started with the first practice session – led by Alexander Rossi – followed by a second practice session to fine-tune qualifying setups.

Race day will kick off with a final warm-up practice session tomorrow morning leading into the GMR Grand Prix with coverage starting live on NBC at 2 p.m. ET.

TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
