With Andretti Autosport drivers bookending the initial qualifying attempts, the team will saw all five drivers earn starting positions for the 103rd Running of the Indianapolis 500 with three cars in the top 11 and Alexander Rossi advancing to the Fast Nine Shootout tomorrow.
Sunday’s qualifying will host the Last Row Shootout on NBC immediately followed by the Fast Nine Shootout at 1:15 p.m. ET. Once the grid is set, the 33 drivers who have earned starting positions will hit the track for a practice session at 3:15 p.m. ET.
*Should rain cancel Sunday’s Fast Nine track activity, today’s Fast Nine qualifiers would be the first nine Indy 500 starters, based on today’s qualifying speeds – including the Pole position.

|“I am grateful that we are in the Fast Nine Shootout. It is a very good position to be in, as we watched what happened in the last hour. Hats off to the Andretti Autosport team and NAPA crew for securing that for us. We will go to work tonight and see if we can that little bit of speed that we felt we lost today and hopefully be able to tomorrow, if the weather cooperates.”|
