“I felt like we had good speed and Jerry (Baxter) and the team brought a really strong truck for today’s race, but I really needed track position earlier in the race. It was really difficult to pass, especially later in the run when the handling started to change with tire wear. Martinsville is definitely a tricky place to figure out, especially with no practice time, but I learned a lot today and look forward to moving on to Texas with the No. 25 team.
