Ross Chastain scored a 21st-place finish Saturday in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge Xfinity Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.
Driving at a speedway where he has considerable experience, Chastain qualified 15th and had a solid afternoon on track.
“We had a good, dependable car,” Chastain said of the Flex Seal Chevrolet. “It was fun to run Texas again and to have a car I could move around. We’re ending the season strong.”
The series moves on to Phoenix International Raceway next week before concluding the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway the following week.
Chastain’s Saturday finish kept him 16th in the Xfinity driver standings.
Sprint Cup driver Kyle Larson won the race, with Brad Keselowski second.
TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
