The fallout continues to unfold regarding Kyle Larson’s<\/strong> use of “the N word” <\/strong>during Sunday’s iRacing event broadcast on FOX Sports 1. Chevrolet <\/strong>has just announced that they are suspending their relationship with Larson effective immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Easy Money” has driven only a Chevy since his stepped into the upper level of racing beginning back in 2011 in the Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series. Larson has made 223 Cup series <\/strong>starts with six (6) wins<\/strong> while driving for Chip Ganassi Racing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Kyle Larson Racing<\/strong>, the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series, team that Kyle owns is sponsored by Chevrolet Accessories<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Chevrolet has suspended its relationship with Kyle Larson indefinitely, as we do not tolerate this behavior”, Chevrolet officials said in a statement. We will continue to monitor the events surrounding Mr. Larson and are prepared to take additional action.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chevreolet is the latest company to denounce Larson’s use of a racial slur on Sunday night’s Monza Madness stream. Earlier on Monday he was suspended indefinitely by both NASCAR and Chip Ganassi Racing.<\/a> NASCAR is requiring Larson to go through sensitivity training before he can be reinstated to race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, iRacing has banned him from their service. Larson’s sponsor, Credit One Bank<\/strong>, has denounced Larson’s behavior in a statement on Twitter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kyle Larson did offer up an apology on Twitter for his use of that racial slur while accepting the fact that “the damage is probably unrepairable”.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is going to be very interesting to see how this really unfortunate incident gets resolved going forward.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
