Chip Ganassi Racing recorded 121 total laps on the second day of the Roar Before the 24 as the team continued their preparations for Qualifying. The team was limited to just two practice sessions today, as they did not run in the third practice that was red-flagged periodically because of heavy rain affecting track conditions.
Sebastien Bourdais of the No. 01 Cadillac V-LMDh clocked the fastest lap on the day for CGR at 1:35.724.
Qualifying for Chip Ganassi Racing, Cadillac and the GTP class begins Sunday at 2:40 p.m. ET with coverage across both IMSA TV and Peacock.

“It was a good day because we really took some steps to control the systems that we have on this car. It’s a complicated car and we have a really nice group of technical influencers from General Motors, Ganassi, Dallara, Bosch and Williams. What is difficult is making sure everybody is facing the same way. But everyone has that intention so we can be critical with one another to improve. We started to dial in our group and our information more and more.”
“It was really good to get back in the car and work with the team to continue to prepare the Cadillac V-LMDh. I think we’re starting to become more and more prepared each run, each session, each driver change, refueling; it’s everything, really. We’re getting used to all the cars around and I think session by session we are feeling a lot more prepared for qualifying on Sunday.”
TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
