The NTT INDYCAR SERIES will continue their three-race West Coast swing to round out the 2021 season as they head to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey.
INDYCAR returned to Laguna Seca in 2019 for the first time since the 2004 Champ Car Series season and were poised to come back in 2020 before COVID-19 restrictions put a halt to the series’ return.
Colton Herta continued the Herta family domination at Laguna Seca winning from the pole in 2019, leading 83 of 90 laps in his second INDYCAR career win. Herta’s father and strategist, Bryan Herta, won three consecutive poles (1997-1999) with back-to-back victories in 1998 and 1999 at Laguna Seca.
