PORTLAND INDYCAR HISTORY
CURRENT CHAMPIONSHIP STANDING–12 (259 PTS.)
“We have three big races coming up on the West Coast to end the season kicking off in Portland. I hated not being able to do these three events last year due to COVID restrictions, so the fact that we’re back at Portland and I get to have two of my ‘home races’ back at Laguna and Long Beach is incredibly exciting and motivating as we look to finish the season on a high.”
After COVID-19 restrictions hampered the 2020 Grand Prix of Portland, the NTT INDYCAR SERIES makes its return to the 12-turn, 1.964-mile natural road course to kick off the final three-race swing on the West Coast. The 2021 Grand Prix of Portland will be the 27th INDYCAR SERIES race at Portland International Raceway, but only the third since the series returned in 2018.
In his two starts at Portland, Alexander Rossi has never started or finished outside of the top 10 and has led 32 laps. His highest finishing position of third tied his highest starting position in 2019.
TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
