“It’s going to be a great weekend for fans with the tripleheader schedule of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, Cup, and Xfinity. I love being at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and racing on the road course is something we’ve become quite accustomed to over the past year. We’ve got two podiums in three races there, so we will head into the weekend looking to pick up the pace that we had last weekend in Nashville.”

The Big Machine Spiked Coolers Grand Prix will be the 11th INDYCAR SERIES event conducted on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) road course and the 28 cars entered in this weekend’s race is the largest field of cars entered in a non-Indianapolis 500 INDYCAR SERIES race since 29 cars started at Kentucky Speedway in 2011.

While none of the current Andretti Autosport drivers have finished on the top step of the podium on the IMS road course, all four have finished on the podium and three of the four have second-place finishes.

Alexander Rossi has only finished outside of the top 10 twice in his eight starts on the IMS road course and he has two podium finishes.

After Herta led just under half (39 laps) of the Music City Grand Prix on the streets of Nashville, Andretti Autosport surpassed 10,000 INDYCAR laps led last weekend.

TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
