No. 25 LOHLA SPORT / CUSICK MOTORSPORTS HONDA
CHAMPIONSHIP: 35TH / 10 pts.
Wilson made contact with the pit lane wall during the first round of the pitstop cycles ending the No. 25 team’s day early.
“I’m heartbroken for the entire LOHLA SPORT / Cusick Motorsports crew. They worked so hard this month. Thankful to all the supporters and sponsors that made it possible for me to return to Indy. We were having a good stint, moving past (Will) Power. We got the call to pit a little late, but that wasn’t the issue. As soon as I went to the brakes, there was nothing there. The entire 30-lap stint, the brakes had been knocking back and I was trying to pump them up as quickly as I could to get enough pressure and eventually one of the pumps locked one of the rear tires. I was a passenger at that point. I’m devastated and hope I get the chance to come back again.”
TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
