“The month we’ve all been waiting for is finally here! We’re thrilled to finally have our partners, guests and fans join us for the GMR Grand Prix kicking off the Month of May at IMS. At the 2020 Harvest GP on the IMS road course, we had a strong qualifying result making the top six, so we’ll be looking to apply what we learned in October and apply it this weekend. Then we’ll shift our focus to practice and qualifying for the most important race of the year, the Indianapolis 500.”
The NTT INDYCAR SERIES officially kicks off the Month of May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with the GMR Grand Prix before heading into practice and qualifying for the Indianapolis 500 the following week.
All four drivers within the Andretti Autosport stable have recorded a top-five result on the 14-turn Indianapolis road course (Hunter-Reay – 2nd, Hinchcliffe – 3rd, Herta – 4th, Rossi – 5th).
In seven GMR Grand Prix starts, Ryan Hunter-Reay has finished 100% of all laps and has scored two podiums, just missing out on a win with a second-place finish in 2014.
