“Definitely a couple of things I’m excited about heading into this weekend. The first is getting back to Barber Motorsports Park – it was unfortunate that we didn’t get back there last year. Second is just getting the season underway and third, and in a way most importantly, is starting to see fans back at the track. It’s going to be a slight step back in the direction that we’re all used to. I can’t wait to get the season started and hopefully with the same amount of performance and momentum that we had at the end of 2020. I think the team is in a really good spot right now and I’m looking forward to seeing what we’re able to accomplish.”
After missing out on running the 2020 Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama due to pandemic restrictions along with the rest of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES field, Andretti Autosport is back in 2021 for their 11th season competing at Barber Motorsports Park.
Coming into the weekend, Andretti Autosport has 38 starts at Barber Motorsports Park including two wins, one pole, and four podiums.
Alexander Rossi will start the 2021 season in the No. 27 NAPA AUTO PARTS / AutoNation Honda and looks to improve on his two top-five finishes in four starts at Barber Motorsports Park.
