No. 19 Menards/Jeld-Wen Toyota Supra News and Notes:

2020 NASCAR XFINITY SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP RUN CONTINUES: Brandon Jones and the No. 19 Menards/Jeld-Wen team head to Martinsville Speedway four points below the cutline for the Championship 4.

XFINITY SERIES RETURNS TO MARTINSVILLE: This will be the first start for the NASCAR Xfinity Series since 2006 on the historic short track. The majority of the Xfinity Series drivers have never raced a lap on the track.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT: This will be Jones’ first trip to Martinsville in the Xfinity Series, but he does have experience with five starts in the Truck Series and a late model race. He will be piloting the No. 51 Magick Woods Vanities Tundra on Friday for Kyle Bush Motorsports and will use everything he learns to assist him in the Xfinity Race. Jones and crew chief Jeff Meendering will be focused all week on preparation at the TRD simulator, iRacing and digging deep into their Cup Series teammate’s notebooks. Jones knows he must be aggressive and mentally tough to advance to the Championship 4.

JGR AT MARTINSVILLE SPEEDWAY: JGR has 2 total starts at Martinsville Speedway in the NXS, earning one top-five finish, two top-10 finishes. The team has an average start of 6.5 and an average finish of 6.0.

RACE INFO: Draft Top 250 at Martinsville Speedway (.526-mile) begins at 3:30 p.m.ET on Saturday, October 31, 2020. The race will be broadcast live on NBCSN, SiriusXM Channel 90 and MRN Radio.

From the Cockpit:

Brandon Jones: “We head to Martinsville Speedway four points under the playoff cutline and have put Texas behind us. We are only focused on Martinsville and our No. 19 Menards/Jeld-Wen team believe we can win. I have a full week of simulator ahead of me and quite a few hours of studying to do. I also will be in the Truck race on Friday night in the No. 51 Majick Woods Vanities Tundra for Kyle Bush Motorsports. I plan to use a lot of information from that race to carry over to the Xfinity side. We are going to put all our effort into Martinsville so that we can advance into Phoenix where we know we can win. There’s a lot of unknowns going into this weekend, but I do have notes with five starts in the Truck Series. Jeff Meendering (crew chief) will have us reviewing our Cup teammate’s notes since they go there every year as well. Bottom line, we plan to be aggressive and fight hard to advance in the Championship 4 at Phoenix.”

TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
