Rossi Rolls Of 9th For The Indy 500

No. 27 NAPA AUTO PARTS / AUTONATION HONDA
STARTING POSITION: 9th
QUALIFYING SPEED: 229.234mph

OF NOTE:

This was Alexander Rossi’s third appearance in Fast Nine qualifying shootout.
“First of all, huge congrats to Marco. That’s an amazing result for him, for the team, for Honda. I’m glad that someone was able to bail us out as it wasn’t looking like a great result for Andretti Autosport for a second there. Huge effort for him [Marco], he has been fast all week so that’s amazing that he was able to get it done. For us, it’s a little bit of a mystery. Not only did we not really have the balance right for four laps, the ultimate speed wasn’t there either. Usually, you get one and maybe not the other but we didn’t have either today. It’s disappointing for the NAPA AUTO PARTS / AutoNation crew but its the way it goes sometimes. This place at Indianapolis really just shows that it doesn’t owe anybody anything here. Going through Turn 3, the car straightened up and I knew our pace on the first two laps wasn’t good enough to do anything so then it was about bringing it home.”

TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
