No. 19 Toyota Service Centers Toyota Supra News and Notes:
INAUGURAL RACE: You can throw all the statistics out the window this weekend from any previous Xfinity Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The iconic racetrack will hold the much-anticipated inaugural road-course race on the 2.439-mile infield track. The debut will be on Independence Day and should provide a thrilling and challenging race with its 14 turns at one of the most historic venues. This race will have a lot of unknowns and a win there would be huge.
RACE INFO: Pennzoil 150 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (2.439-mile) begins at 3:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 4, 2020. The race will be broadcast live on NBC, SiriusXM Channel 90 and IMS Radio.
From the Cockpit:
Brandon Jones: “I am excited to compete in the inaugural road course race this weekend at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It’s going to be a big unknown for all the drivers since this will be everyone’s first time on the road course.
We will have a lot of virtual laps under our belt at the 14 turn course using the TRD Simulator before we arrive. We will be able to practice on Friday and this will be critical for all the teams because it’s an opportunity to get a lot of track time. Honestly, I’m not sure what to expect for the weekend, but our Toyota Service Centers team is focused on coming out with the best finish we can and hopeful that we get a chance to kiss the bricks on Independence Day.
TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
