Bayley Currey will fill in for Natalie Decker in the No. 44 Niece Motorsports Chevrolet in Saturday’s NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoor Series race at Pocono Raceway.
Decker has been hospitalized since Tuesday, June 23 with bile duct complications related to her gallbladder removal back in December.
“I want to thank Natalie and the entire Niece Motorsports team for considering me for this opportunity,” said Currey. “I will do my best to represent Natalie and her team in a positive way. I’m praying for her speedy recovery.”
Currey has two starts with Niece Motorsports, both coming in 2019. Currey raced at Pocono and Michigan, earning a best finish of sixth at Michigan.
The NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series will take the green flag from Pocono Raceway on Saturday, June 27 at 12:30 p.m. ET on FoxSports1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
