IN THE SPOTLIGHT: The NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) is headed to Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend. It was originally scheduled for March 21, but was rescheduled for this weekend due to the Pandemic restrictions. This will be a unique weekend because it will be a double header with back-to-back races on Saturday and Sunday. This will also be the first time Homestead-Miami Race will not be the final race of the season. This race always turns into a battle and produces lots of excitement. This will be Jones’ fifth NXS career-start there and the 19 Menards/Fisher team’s goal is to qualify for the Dash 4 Cash again and they have their sights on victory lane.

From the Cockpit:

Brandon Jones: “We are headed to Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend and it will be completely different from years past. This will be a double-header weekend with back-to-back Xfinity Series races competing Saturday and Sunday. We will have Menards and Fisher Oven Roasted on board for both. Homestead has always been a challenging track, but I have learned a lot over the past couple years. The further into a run you get and the more the tires fall off, the track becomes very top-line dominant. You need to be sure you can run up there if you’re going to have a good race. Our No. 19 team had strong runs last year at Kansas and Chicago, which are both top-line tracks. That gives me an extra boost of confidence in how to approach the race this weekend. I’ll watch a lot of videos, hit the sim and notebook hard to prepare for this weekend. I’m looking forward to improving my speed in Homestead this weekend and having a really solid run both days for our Menards/Fisher team.”
