KYLE BUSCH AT PHOENIX RACEWAY: Kyle Busch will make his first NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) start of the 2020 season this weekend when he climbs behind the wheel of the No. 54 Twix Cookies & Cream Toyota Supra at Phoenix Raceway. In his previous 11 starts at the one-mile tri-oval, Busch has 11 wins, 16 top-five and 19 top-10 finishes. He has also captured nine pole awards and has a 5.7 average finish at the desert racetrack.
JGR AT PHOENIX: JGR has 89 total starts at Phoenix Raceway in the NXS, earning 12 wins, 38 top-five finishes, 61 top-10 finishes and 17 pole-starting positions. The team has led 2,812 laps, completed 16,956 of 17,745 attempted laps (95.6%) and earned an average start of 8.3 and an average finish of 9.7. Kyle Busch has earned nine of the team’s 12 wins with Joey Logano earning one win for the team in 2012, and Christopher Bell winning in 2018 and 2019.
2020 KYLE BUSCH NXS SCHEDULE: Busch will run five races in the NXS this season. The five races include: March 7 at Phoenix Raceway, May 23 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, June 20 at Chicagoland Speedway, July 18 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and August 15 at Watkins Glen.
THIS WEEK ON THE NO. 54 SUPRA: For his first NXS race of the 2020 season, Twix Cookies & Cream will be featured on the No. 54 Toyota Supra with Busch behind the wheel.
TOYOTA GOES FOR 500: Toyota Racing is looking for its 500th NASCAR national series win, which it could earn with a victory this weekend at Phoenix Raceway. Toyota currently has 144 NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) wins,163 NXS victories and 192 Truck wins. Busch leads Toyota with 188 wins in a Toyota, including 52 NCS victories and 85 NXS wins.
DOUBLE DUTY: In addition to running Saturday’s LS Tractor 200, Busch will also be in the driver’s seat of the No. 18 SportClips Camry for Sunday’s NCS. The race will air live on FOX, MRN Radio and Sirius XM Channel 90 beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET on March 8, 2020.
RACE INFO: The LS Tractor 200 at Phoenix Raceway is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2020. Coverage will begin at 4:00 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1, MRN Radio and Sirius XM Channel 90.
