TRUEX AT HOMESTEAD: Martin Truex Jr. has one win, five top-five finishes and nine top-10s in 14 career Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series starts at Homestead-Miami Speedway. In the past two seasons, Truex led 78 laps on the way to the victory in 2017 and he led 20 laps last season before ultimately finishing second.
HOMESTEAD QUALIFYING: Truex has qualified 11th or better in his past eight starts at Homestead-Miami Speedway dating back to 2011. Over the past three years, he has started sixth, second and third at the 1.5-mile oval.
CHAMPIONSHIP 4 EXPERIENCE: Truex has qualified for the Championship 4 in three consecutive seasons and four of the past five years overall. The highlight of his previous three trips to the final four was his 2017 championship performance in which he won the race after leading 78 laps. Altogether, Truex has averaged a fifth-place finish in those three starts with the win in 2017 and a runner-up finish last season.
PLAYOFF POWERHOUSE: In nine Playoff races this season, Truex leads all Championship 4 drivers in wins (three), laps led (654), points scored (384), stage wins (five), and stage points (95).
PHOENIX RECAP: Truex started fourth and ran inside the top 10 for most of last Sunday’s race at ISM Raceway in Avondale, Ariz. After running fourth late in the race and lining up on the outside of row two for the final restart with three laps remaining, Truex ended the day with a sixth-place result.

JGR AT HOMESTEAD: Joe Gibbs Racing owns six victories in 59 combined starts at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Overall, the organization has tallied 15 top-five finishes, 30 top-10s and five pole awards at the track. The five pole awards have all come in the past seven trips to Homestead.
JGR TIES TEAM RECORD: Denny Hamlin’s victory at ISM Raceway gave Joe Gibbs Racing its 18th victory of the season – tying Hendrick Motorsports’ 2007 campaign for the most wins by a team in a single season. Truex leads the team with seven wins followed by Hamlin’s six victories, four for Kyle Busch and one win by Erik Jones.
