  • TRUEX AT KANSAS: Martin Truex Jr. is a two-time winner at Kansas Speedway with both victories coming during his 2017 championship season. In addition to his wins, Truex has eight top-five finishes at the track and nine top-10s. Earlier this season, he finished 19th at Kansas after being forced to start from the rear of the field.
  • TALLADEGA RECAP: Truex finished 26th at Talladega Superspeedway after being collected in a multi-car accident late in stage two. Despite the damage and multiple pit stops for repairs, the No. 19 team kept Truex on track to gain a handful of positions late and keep himself in a solid position in the Playoff standings.
  • PLAYOFF POSITION: Through two races of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Round of 12, Truex ranks second in the standings. He holds a 48-point advantage over the current cutoff position heading into the race this weekend.
  • BASS PRO SHOPS: Bass Pro Shops will be featured as primary sponsor of the No. 19 Camry this Sunday in Kansas. Talk about going to Kansas with your current situation in the Playoff standing?

“We’re pretty happy where we are at in the Playoffs now that we’re through Talladega. We knew that would be a wild card for us, but we’re confident we can go everywhere else and be competitive and have a shot to win. That starts this week in Kansas. We know what we need to do to move on to the next round, but we’d also like to add more Playoff points if that opportunity presents itself.”
