RHR Loges A Top Ten At Laguna Seca

Ryan Hunter-Reay

WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca played host to a hard fought season finale as the NTT IndyCar Series crowned a new champion. The hopes were high for Andretti Autosport to come home with another Astor Cup, but it wasn’t in the cards today for the No. 27 team — they fought hard but come away from the 2019 season third in the standings.

No. 28 DHL HONDA
STARTED 9th // FINISHED 10th
CHAMPIONSHIP: 8th (420 pts.)

OF NOTE:

A mechanical issue on the first pit stop stalled the 28 car on exit, resulting in lost track position // Following the pit issue, Ryan Hunter-Reay drove the DHL car from 24th back into the top 10
“We had a good start and picked up a spot. On our first stop we had an issue where the car stalled. Not sure what the reason was yet — looks like a timing issue with selecting first gear or potentially a boost issue. We fell to last and had to pass 12 cars to make it up to where we finished in 10th. We had a fun day out there and I passed a lot of cars. But it made it more work than it needed to be. We picked up a position in points but then tied with Colton [Herta].”

TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
