Brandon Jones

No. 19 1st Foundation Toyota Supra News and Notes:

·       BRANDON JONES IN THE SPOTLIGHT AT LOUDON: Jones and the 19 team are coming off a rough race in Kentucky, but are more motivated than ever after their strong start there.  They will draw from a lot of positives from the race, they led laps and won stage points.  Even though Jones has struggled at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the past, there is a lot to build on after his sixth place finish there last year. It’s time to dig in and fight for the best spot in the playoffs.  This will be Jones’ fourth start on “The Magic Mile” in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS).  It is his second start with Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) on the 1.058-mile flat oval nestled in the heart of New England.

·       JGR AT NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY: Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) has 45 NXS starts at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. JGR has earned nine wins, five poles, 26 top-five finishes and 33 top-10 finishes with an average start of 8.8 and an average finish of 8.8. The team has led a combined 1,321 laps and completed 8,713 of 9,072 attempted laps (96%).

From the Cockpit:

Brandon Jones: “Leading laps in both the Truck and Xfinity race last weekend in Kentucky was a huge confidence booster. Our No. 19 1st Foundation team has had some really good runs this season, and we’re extremely hungry for a win! I’ve been talking to my Joe Gibbs Racing teammates in both the Xfinity and Cup Series to get some tips and prepare for Loudon. This track is always very challenging, but when you get the hang of it, it’s extremely fun to race around. I have had some good runs here and came close to winning a K&N Series race here a few years ago. What I find the most challenging at New Hampshire is getting your corner entry right—it looks really inviting to drive deep into the corner, but it’s very easy to overdrive. I’m looking forward to having 1st Foundation back on our Supra this weekend and hope to get a strong finish for them.”
