–Spencer Gallagher and the No. 23 team will utilize chassis No. 221; this chassis has been raced twice year at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Start: 6th/Finish: 36th) and at Chicagoland Speedway (Start: 9th /Finish: 10th) both driven by Chase Elliott.
-Gallagher will pay tribute this weekend to a former driver, Spencer Clark who passed away in a tragic car accident in 2006. Gallagher credits that Clark, as well as his family, were the backbone to jumpstart his career in racing. Within a year of Clark’s death, his mother and father created the Spencer Clark Driven Foundation in an effort to keep their son’s name out there and to provide young drivers proper training in competitive race cars.
“I am really pumped to be back in the No. 23 Allegiant Chevrolet this weekend at my hometown track. After doing some physical therapy with my family doctor in Las Vegas, I am just glad that I could get my shoulder back to where it needs to be in order to be competitive. I feel like it’s fitting that I am back for my hometown race and to run a special tribute on the No. 23 to a close family friend of mine, Spencer Clark. He was a big part of starting my career and it’s nice to be able to pay respect to him and his family.”
TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
