What You Need to Know

  • Kyle Busch returns to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway hoping for a hometown sweep. He will compete in all three events throughout the weekend, starting with the NCWTS event on Friday evening, the Xfinity race on Saturday afternoon and the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday.
  •  Busch has not raced a truck at Las Vegas since his only NCWTS start there in 2001 when he started third and finished ninth. Las Vegas is the only active track on the Truck Series schedule where he has made at least one start and has not visited victory lane.
  •  He claimed his 19th career NCWTS pole at Atlanta last weekend.
  •  Busch will make his second NCWTS start of the 2018 season at Las Vegas in the No. 51 Cessna Tundra. He won the pole, led 67 laps and appeared to be in line for a win driving for the No. 4 team at Atlanta last week, until a miscue on the final pit stop dashed his hopes for a victory. He will be behind the wheel of the No. 4 at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, as well as the No. 51 at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway and Pocono (Pa.) Raceway. All of Busch’s races will be sponsored by Textron Aviation with the Cessna and Beechcraft brands

Kyle Busch, Driver Q&A
Are you looking forward to returning to your home track this weekend?

“I’m certainly looking forward to getting back to Vegas, I always do. This year it’s going to mean a little bit more, be a little bit more important to kind of focus on the right things in your race car to be good. It certainly is a race track that I try to enjoy and run well at, but more importantly win at. I’ve only been able to do that once in 2009 in Cup and once in 2016 in Xfinity. I’d certainly like to be able to get back to those winning ways there of being able to have a fast race car and figure out what it takes to get around there well. It’s the hometown race and I’ll be running all three with the triple out there, so it will be chaotic doing all that. I’m certainly looking forward to that and the challenge it presents.”
