“What a weekend for this No. 23 Allegiant Chevrolet team. I want to thank everyone at GMS Racing for the amazing car they brought down to Daytona. This weekend’s success was a result of a lot of hard work during the offseason. I have never felt that confident in an Xfinity car and needless to say that was a lot of fun. This sixth-place finish is a real confidence booster for the whole team. Collecting my highest NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying effort of fifth, finishing sixth in the first race of the 2018 season and sitting third in the points, it was an overall great weekend. You are going to see a lot more out of the No. 23 this year, I can promise you that.”

GMS Racing competes full-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with drivers Cody Coughlin, Johnny Sauter, Justin Haley and Dalton Sargeant, and the NASCAR XFINITY Series with Spencer Gallagher. Since the team’s start in 2014, GMS Racing has grown to occupy several buildings located in Statesville, N.C. The campus also includes operations for GMS Fabrication.
