Blake Koch and Kaulig Racing Look Ahead To Atlanta

Kyle Busch, Blake Koch, & Ryan Reed

Blake Koch at Atlanta Motor Speedway… Blake Koch has six previous starts in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS). In 2016, Koch recorded his career-best start (13th) and finish (20th) at AMS. In that race, Koch ran in the top 15 the majority of the day before suffering a flat tire in the closing laps of the event.

Sounding Off- Blake Koch… “I loved the way NASCAR’s new points system and segments played out last week at Daytona. I’m really excited to try out the new downforce package this weekend as that will add an element to this race that wasn’t really a factor last week. I feel like we deserve redemption at Atlanta after having such a strong run last year foiled by a flat tire with two laps to go.”2017 Season… Koch is currently tied for eighth in the NXS Championship points standings after finishing 15th at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday. Koch ran as high as fourth before getting caught up in several on-track incidents. Koch and the No. 11 LeafFilter Gutter Protection® team rebounded to record a top-15 finish and capture seven bonus points by finishing in the top 10 in the first two segments.Experience on the Box… Veteran Crew Chief and Kaulig Racing General Manager Chris Rice has served as crew chief during six previous NXS races at AMS. He has recorded one top-10 finish in the NXS and additional top-10 in a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at the track.

Blake Koch NXS Career… Koch makes his 182nd NXS start this weekend at AMS. To date, Koch has a career-best starting position of second at Homestead-Miami Speedway (Nov. 2013), and a career-best finish of eighth at Richmond International Raceway (April 2016), Bristol Motor Speedway (August 2016) and Phoenix International Raceway (November 2016).

Tune-In… The NXS Rinnai 250 from AMS will be televised live Saturday, March 4th, 2017 at 2 p.m. ET on FS1 and will be broadcasted live on the Performance Racing Network (PRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio channel 90.
