Ross Chastain finished 22nd Saturday in the Xfinity Series finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Chastain drove the Florida Watermelon Association Chevrolet in the Ford EcoBoost 300, the 33rd and last race of the year.
Chastain qualified 20th and finished the race one lap down to the leaders.
“We had a pretty good car today,” Chastain said. “We probably could have finished a bit better, but it was a decent afternoon. The season was special for us with some good runs and a lot of consistency.”
Chastain finished 16th in Xfinity driver points.
Daniel Suarez won the race and the series championship.
