- Custer has a combined 13 starts on short tracks in the NCWTS, with two top-five and seven top-10 finishes. His average start at Martinsville is a stellar 5.6.
- Despite being involved in two crashes, Custer maintained 10th place in the points after Talladega, trailing Tyler Reddick by just three points.

“We have had really fast Trucks this season, and that was true at Talladega last week. Even with the right-side damage we had, we were fast, and we had a shot to win there. Martinsville has been good for me, with a pole last year and a bunch of laps led, but we need to make it to the end. We were pretty good there in the spring before getting crashed, and I am looking for a great weekend in our OneMain Financial Chevrolet.”
