Ryan Preece hopes to improve on his earlier finish in May at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Friday night’s Drive for the Cure 300.
Preece was 22nd in the May Xfinity Series race at CMS. He’ll drive the Rockstar Energy Drink Chevrolet in Friday’s race.
“The May race was my first one at Charlotte,” Preece said. “We had a pretty good car there, but I’m expecting more this time now that I know a lot more about the track. We’re looking for a much better finish in the Rockstar Energy Drink Chevy.”
Preece enters the race 17th in Xfinity Series points as the season winds down.
Practice is scheduled Thursday at 3 and 5:30 p.m. Qualifying is set for 4:45 p.m. Friday, with the race to follow at 8.
