Ryan Preece will enjoy a luxury of sorts this weekend at Kentucky Speedway.
A rookie in the Xfinity Series, Preece has raced at a long list of tracks for the first time this season. On Saturday, he will drive the G&K Services/Hiller Chevrolet in the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300, and he’ll be touring Kentucky Speedway for the second time.
“It’s good to go back to some of these tracks for the second go-round,” Preece said. “When things are brand new, it takes a while to get going. I feel like I have a good background at Kentucky.”
Preece scored one of his best finishes of the Xfinity season – a 15th – at Kentucky in July.
Saturday’s race will be the start of the new Xfinity Chase playoffs.
Practices are scheduled at 3:30 p.m. (ET) and 6 p.m. Friday. Qualifying is set for 4:45 p.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 8.
TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
