JOLIET, Ill. – Ryan Preece tries another new track on for size this weekend.
Preece, in his rookie season in the Xfinity Series, will be racing for the first time at Chicagoland Speedway Saturday in the Drive For Safety 300.
“It’s another track I’ve heard and read a lot about but haven’t driven yet,” Preece said. “We’ve had a bunch of those this year, and we seem to adapt pretty quick. I’m hoping that’s the case this week. I’m sure we’ll have a good car.”
In four of the past Xfinity races this season, Preece has finished in the top 17.
A pair of practice sessions will open the Xfinity weekend – at 12:30 p.m. (ET) and 3 p.m. Friday. Qualifying is set for 11:45 a.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 3 p.m.
TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
