Ryan Preece turned in one of his best runs of the Xfinity Series season Friday, finishing 15th in the Alsco 300 at Kentucky Speedway.
The finish matched Preece’s top run of the season, a 15th at Talladega Superspeedway in the ninth race of the schedule. This was the very first time that Ryan race was at this 1.5-mile track.
“A great night overall for the team,” Preece said. “We had a great car and a great setup for the track, and I was able to adjust to it pretty quickly. This is a run I hope we can build on.”
Preece, driving the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet No. 01, gained a spot in the Xfinity driver standings to 18th.
JD Motorsports takes on the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the next Xfinity race July 16.
