“Young Money”, Kyle Larson, motored his # 42 Chip Ganassi Chevrolet SS to the top of the speed charts (95.468 mph) in Saturday’s final NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice at the Martinsvile Speedway. Despite his fast time in final practice, Larson will be starting Sunday’s STP 500 from 17th starting position and has his work cut out trying to get to the front.
After last year’s miraculous run for the championship, do not take your eyes off of Kyle Busch, who was second fastest in the field and wheeled his #18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota to 95.338 mph lap.
Rounding out the top ten were #14 Brian Vickers, #31 Ryan Newman, #78 Martin Truex Jr, #48 Jimmie Johnson. #11 Denny Hamlin, #20 Matt Kenseth, #5 Kasey Kahne, and #21 Ryan Blaney.
