Joe Gibbs Racing driver, #20 Erik Jones, found himself atop the Xfinity Series practice board on Friday for the second straight practice session at the Phoenix International Raceway.
Jones ran this desert mile in blistering pace this afternoon with a recorded lap of 134.053 mph to edge out his JGR teammate and series points leader Daniel Suarez. Suarez laid down his fastest lap at 133.889 mph. Kyle Busch completed the JGR trio sweep with a speed of 132.861 mph.
Rounding out the top 10 were Ty Dillon, Brandon Jones, Brad Keslowski, Brennan Poole, Justin Allgaier, Jeb Burton, and Justin Marks.
Also during this practice session was a lengthy red flag due to a crash by the No. 07 of Ray Black Jr., who broke an oil line and slammed into wall hard!
