Kyle Busch used a strong late race restart to get by German Quiroga Jr. and win the WinStar World Casino and Resort 350 at Texas Motor Speedway in a green-white-checkered finish.
Quiroga held the lead on the restart at Lap 151, but Busch was able to get by him on the outside to take the lead and then hold when a caution came out after he came to the white flag for Quiroga hitting the wall on the frontstretch.
The win was Busch’s seventh in nine NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts this season. This was also his third career win at Texas in the Truck Series.
Additionally, this victory by KBM tied the record for the most wins in a season by one race team. Kyle Busch Motorsports tied Jim Smith’s Ultra Motorsports, one of the founding Truck Series race teams, with 12 wins in a season.
Johnny Sauter’s spin on the frontstretch on Lap 146 brought out a late caution and set up the thrilling finish.
Toyota locked up its seventh manufacturer championship thanks to Busch’s win. The Japanese automaker has won 16 of 20 races this season.
