The Associated Press has learned that Juan Pablo Montoya will not be back for an eighth NASCAR season with Chip Ganassi, and his familiar #42 Target Chevy. Ganassi President Steve Lauletta announced the decision to the team Tuesday, multiple people present for the announcement told AP on the condition of anonymity because Ganassi does not comment on driver contracts.(Associated Press)

This has now opened up the #42 EGR Target Chevy driver’s seat for the silly season guessing game!

Here are just a few questions that now are emerging from within the Sprint Cup garage:

Where will Juan Pablo Montoya land when all the dusts settles?  Could it be that JPM moves over to Richard Childress Racing?  Is there a possibility that JPM could wind up at Furniture Row Racing?  Would Penske Racing start up a third team?

Where will Ryan Newman settle in for the 2014 season?  Many of those same speculations are in order for Newman, including the driver’s seat at Ganassi.

More of the same questions are hanging over Kurt Busch’s head, as well!

PS Do not forget that Ganassi has a young gun named Kyle Larson that has several years left on his contract, and is quite a “wheel man” in the midget and sprint car world, as well as learning the Nationwide Series!

Stay tuned sports fans, the silly season is now slipping into high gear!

TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
